Heritage Sites and Monuments entrance fees in Nepal

Nepal is famous as the “Lands of Temples”. When in Nepal, you will see small to big temples with statues of gods and goddesses on every street corner. During the medieval period, there were many structures built with pristine architectural beauty. Every region of Nepal has different heritage sites which are importantly designated as historical, cultural, and religious landmarks.

The capital city, Kathmandu is likewise privileged with ancient temples, monuments, buildings, and Stupa which are entitled as heritage sites. Some of those structures are enlisted in the World's UNESCO Heritage Sites as well such as Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, etc. These heritage sites have a critical role and significance in tourism. Thus, their maintenance, preservation, and protection are always kept up to the mark. Tourists visiting Nepal make sure they will go and enjoy these places.

Also, it helps to support the local communities and economies.

Entry fees must be paid to enter Heritage Sites, museums, etc. at the entry point. Positive discriminatory entry fees are applicable to most of the sightseeing spots, i.e. different fees to Nepali (visitors and students), SAARC, and Third-Country (other than SAARC) visitors.
